How can you help us...


You will be working with teams across Audit Scotland, and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll be advising senior managers on how to use there financial, physical and administrative resources.  you'll provide advice to the Audit Scotland Management Team and the Board, including drawing up our budget proposals to the Scottish parliament.  It's a high profile job within the organisation, but it is where your work and professional advice have a real impact.


The Finance team…


In this pivotal role, you’ll head up a small, dedicated team who uphold quality and professional financial accountancy services. You are the Financial adviser to the Accountable Officer and Management Team, Directors and Senior Managers of Audit Scotland. You are on the pulse of change, ensuring your team are always up-to-date with accounting developments. Your team delivers a range of key financial services to the Board, Audit Committee Management team, budget holders and staff at Audit Scotland. Although you will be working with many financially qualified colleagues, you will be the lead finance professional involved in the running of our business.


Specific Knowledge and experience...


To join us, a CCAB or CIMA qualification is essential and you’ll have at least 5 years experience of financial management at a senior level. You will have vast experience of managing a range of staff and of leading those colleagues through change. Because of your  track record, you’ll think creatively and strategically and always look for ways to improve and innovate. As a result, you’ll create solutions with longevity so your value is felt for years to come.
