This role will support the Head of HR in leading, delivering and continuously developing efficient and effective generalist HR services across Audit Scotland, enabling Audit Scotland to deliver world-class public audit and be a great place to work.
You may already be an HR Assistant Manager, or you might be an experienced HR Business Partner or HR Advisor with a wide experience of all generalist HR processes looking for your next career move within a supportive team and organisation.

Overall purpose of the role
The HR Assistant Manager is responsible for the way in which work is scheduled and general supervision and development of the HR team. This involves recruitment, selection, case management, dealing with disputes such as grievances, advising and supporting managers - either directly or by coaching and supporting HR colleagues.
The HR Assistant Manager will work in partnership with internal stakeholders, external consultants and employee union representatives building productive relationships to aid success. The HR Assistant Manager will also manage more complex and higher risk disciplinary, absence and grievance issues. They will deputise for the Head of HR as required.
